When we are very young our loved elders tried to give everything that we asked for!

Even though they had financial difficulties they always tried to give us the best things they could.

So isn’t it your responsibility now to give them the best, when you have the capability too

You might have the cash and other possibilities to gift them things.

But are you sure about the quality of the goods ordered?  Or whether it will be delivered on time to them with your busy work schedule. When you are living far from your loved elders, our senior citizens.

Purpose of the Organization

 
Purpose of the Organization

The knowledge and experience of the honorable senior citizens is an asset to the country in developing and guiding the young generation. There are lot of retired qualified and experienced senior citizens in the country at present. The numbers will grow in future. If we don’t try to utilize this knowledge pool it will be a waste of valuable resources.

According to the statistics the population above the age of 60 years in Sri Lanka was 2.5 million in 2012 and it will increase to 3.6 million in 2021 and it will further increase.

We hope to work with the senior citizens in the age range of 55 – 80 years who have retired from their full time positions. After retirement most of these senior citizens relax in life without much responsibilities.

Through our organization the senior citizens will be invited to volunteer to serve the youth population to succeed in life. It will be a good option for senior citizens allowing them to spend the spare time in an effective manner. This will also facilitate the mental wellbeing of this elders group as well. In the meantime the organization will try to pay the elders for the voluntary work allowing them to earn some income.

In today’s world the youth is involved in many unhealthy activities such as using drugs, liquor, robberies, illegal income generating methods etc. If our senior citizens can educate youth on the negative consequences of those bad behaviors and rescue them it would be a great favor to the society.

Through the knowledge, experience and the expertise of the honored senior citizens the youth can learn a lot and start to rise on their own, turning their lives to a better direction.

Senior citizens can pass their technical and professional knowledge and experience to the youth with the purpose of making their lives better. Hence senior citizens will be able to serve the country through facilitating the young population.
